Arsenal eyeing PSG big man to become new sporting director

Campos, who is currently a football consultant at Paris Saint-Germain. And is known for his talent scouting, has yet to sign a new contract with the French giants.

The Portuguese boss’ contract with PSG expires. This summer and his uncertain situation has Arsenal keeping a close eye on him.

Arsenal have opened the search for a new sporting director after Edu announced his departure earlier this month. With Campos one of the likely candidates to succeed him.

It is understood the search for Edu’s replacement is still in its early stages. With the Gunners still deciding which sporting director to hire.

Campos has changed PSG’s transfer policy. Moving away from spending big on superstars and focusing instead on signing promising young players such as Vitinha, Bradley Barcola and Joao Neves.

Campos has previously served as sporting director at AS Monaco and Lille, where he has sold off a host of young stars, including Kylian Mbappe, Victor Osimhen, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Anthony Martial.

In addition to Campos, Bayer Leverkusen’s Simon Rolfes and Roberto Olabe, who is set to leave his role at Real Sociedad this summer, are also options for Arsenal.
