Southampton defender Jack Stephens has been banned for two matches. And fined £50,000 for abusing the referee and the fourth official. After being sent off at Manchester United last month.

Stephens was sent off by Stuart Atwell for a foul on Alejandro Garnacho during Southampton’s home game at Manchester United last month.

The 30-year-old has admitted to FA commissioners that he used foul language towards Attwell. And fourth official Gavin Ward as he left the pitch. Ward

told the commission that Stephens had called him “fucking little cunt”, a slur for female genitalia. Before the player walked back onto the pitch to hand the captain’s armband to his team-mate.

As he walked off the pitch again, Stephens was seen telling Ward “You’re a cunt”. Using the same term when insulting Atwell.

Stephens has apologised for his use of foul language. After recognising his role as captain and also helping coach the ทางเข้า ufabet club’s Under-16s side,

the red card suspension already saw him miss the Carabao Cup game against Everton as well as the league games against Ipswich Town and Bournemouth. A

fresh two-match suspension will see Stephens miss the home game against Arsenal this weekend and the game against Leicester City on October 19.
